My Thanksgiving Sunset

These are two pictures I took of the absolutely stunning sunset we had here on Sunday evening of Thanksgiving Weekend. I believe it was the Lord's gift to me! I really love sunsets and I think he knew it would be the perfect end to a great day. I've been soooo busy with my student teaching and struggling a lot with the fact that I only have a couple friends (and I seriously mean that, I have 2 girlfriends here in Fredericton) and have been feeling extremely lonely these past few months. For our family Thanksgiving dinner this year we had Mom, Dad, Grant and I, Jerry and Leona Stillwell who are friends of my parents and better than Grandparents to me and my brother (my real grandparents have been fairly absent in my life) as well as the completely wonderful Brewer family, it was sooo great to spend some time with Mark and Liz, play with Em and cuddle with Abby. My brother's friend Dan from Australia was also here and a friend of his (I can't remember his name though!). It was a real blessing to spend a few precious hours with those people. A little reminder from my Lord that I am not completely alone here in this city and even though each of my close friends and I are really busy with our crazy lives which lead us in many different directions not allowing us to cross paths very often, they are in fact still here. I know it's a little late, but I just want to say I am SOOOOOOOO THANKFUL for the wonderful people the Lord brings into my life. And I love it when God uses little parts of His creation to show us just how much He cares for us and that He hasn't forgotten about us (even when sometimes it seems we are living our lives unnoticed). To all my friends, near and very far, I love you all and am VERY thankful for you. You are all blessings in my life in each of your own special ways! :)
