Summer Has Arrived!
I am finally starting to feel like summer is here! My substitute teaching days are dwindling and I'm settling into my summer job at the Dept. of Health. This is the beginning of my 3rd week back in the gov't for my second summer. I was lucky to have been hired back as a casual and have been working there the days which I am not supplying at a school somewhere. It's good, not too exciting, but I know the people b/c I was here last year and know how things work and where things are, etc. The weather has been beautiful the past couple of weekends as well which makes me feel like it's summer too!I am looking foward to our 3 major youth trips of the summer as well! Our first one is a day trip to Magic Mt. which is always a good time. I haven't been there in 4 years or so. It should be fun! The second trip is a missions trip to Montreal, QUE we are taking the teens on and I am really looking forward to that. I am really praying it will be a time of stepping out of our comfort zones and growing closer to our beautiful Lord in the process. I think it's the first missions trip for the majority of the youth so it'll be really great I am sure. The third trip is a camping trip to Fundy park the end of August which I am really pumped about as well! I LOVE camping and I haven't been camping in YEARS and YEARS. I don't even remember the last time I went camping it's been so long! My family used to go for several trips every summer when I was a kid and it was my favourite thing to look forward to each summer. It should be a great summer with the teens!
On a sad note, my family got shafted this year at Beulah. We are homeless and left with no where to stay this summer. For the past 3 or 4 years we've had a room in the new hotel, Heritage Hall, but for some reason (one that we are not aware of) we were not blessed with a room to stay in. For years we drove back and forth, some years every single day of camp, but after my parents were in a serious moose accident on the way home one night, my mom refuses to drive at night at all on that road. So, this is very sad for me b/c I love Beulah. I am hoping to get down perhaps with a couple friends at least for a day trip or two on the weekends. I don't understand how after a few years we simply get bumped without explanation or warning because it seems that with the other hotels you are pretty much in for life or until you decide you don't want to stay there anymore. Perhaps someday my family will be able to afford a cottege and my life will be complete! haha Until then, I will continue to admire the cotteges of those I know and dream of joining that special club as well. If anyone knows of anyone who is looking to rent a cottege (although I'm sure it's too late at this stage in the game), my family would definitely be interested.
Well, that's about it for now! Happy summer to us all! :)

Hey Aim! I'm way late posting on your blog, but we also missed Beulah this year and it is very sad.
